UB Facilities is in the final stages of an electrical
upgrade to the building housing the CCR data center. In order to make the
final transition to the new electrical service and switch gear, the power to
the entire building must be shut down. Unfortunately, this will include the
CCR data center. The building power shutdown will run from Friday
afternoon, June 24 – Saturday morning - June 25, 2016.
The following is the tentative schedule for CCR shutdowns:
Friday, 6/24 at 8am – Faculty clusters and visualization
portal nodes go offline for maintenance (system, security, and software
updates)
Friday, 6/24 at 12pm – Academic and Industry clusters and other department/lab servers are
shutdown. ALL CCR servers and services will be shut off by 4pm.
Saturday, 6/25 beginning at 8am – Clusters are put back into
production. This could take several hours and is based on the assumption
that UB Facilities will have completed their tasks by 6am, as planned.
We apologize for this inconvenience and will work quickly to
restore CCR resources. If you have any questions, please submit a help ticket.
