Due to circumstances out of our control, our plans for the
January centerwide downtime have changed. The downtime will now be this
Monday, January 8, 2018 and will only affect the clusters (UB-HPC, Industry,
& faculty nodes). Servers will be updated with the latest in security
patches. It's important to note that we have put a hold on any new jobs starting from now until the security patches are installed. All jobs will be queued and will run after the maintenance is complete.
Information from vendors is evolving rapidly so we are holding off until Monday to do the updates and hopefully have a certified way to verify any patches applied are effective. We apologize for the inconvenience but this is for the security of all of our users that we've taken this action.
