Approximate time of outage: 7am-5pm

Resources affected by downtime:

UB-HPC cluster (general-compute, debug, viz, largemem, and gpu  partitions) 

Industry cluster (compute, scavenger partitions)

Faculty cluster (all partitions)

Portals: WebMO, OnDemand

What will be done:  

• Operating system updates (RHEL 7.8) on front end servers
• Reboots of all cluster nodes and front end servers
• Slurm 20.02 update - release notes
• Remove infiniband from IBM 8 core nodes (racks D14, D15, D16) and Dell 8 core nodes (racks D07 and D09) in general-compute partition
• Remove GPFS client from vortex1, vortex2, and presto and change to NFS mount
• OnDemand update to 1.7 - release notes

Jobs will be held in the queue during the maintenance downtime and will run after the updates are complete.
