Updates of front-end login nodes (vortex1/2, vortex-future) and OnDemand
Infrastructure services updated
Conversion of faculty racks v05, v07, v09, v10, and v11 (with the exception of the kmkauffm partition) to NOTLEGACY environment from LEGACY environment. This means anyone using the nodes in these rack will need to be using the latest software release
Scavenger partition updates: Currently all nodes in the scavenger partitions are in the LEGACY environment. During the downtime, these will be removed from the scavenger partition and all the NOTLEGACY nodes will be added to the scavenger partitions. This means anyone using the scavenger partitions will need to be using the latest software release
OnDemand update includes Globus integration - a new Globus button appears in the Files app for any directories that are accessible via Globus collections (formerly endpoints) allowing for easy file transfer access. See here for more info
Jobs will be held in queue during the maintenance downtime and will run after the updates are complete.
