Due to imminent, critical electrical work required in a portion of the CCR machine room, some compute node racks will need to be relocated. The affected racks are in both the UB-HPC and the Faculty cluster: u22, u23, u24, u25, u26, u27, and u28. To account for this emergency work, these racks of compute nodes have been marked offline so no new jobs will start. Any jobs that remain running on the faculty cluster nodes will be terminated on Monday morning, September 9, 2024. At that time, the racks will be moved, rewired, and the compute nodes reinstalled, which includes being renamed. This will definitely increase wait times on the UB-HPC cluster so we will complete this work as quickly as possible and you will see nodes come available for jobs on a rolling basis.
