To get started using Globus at CCR, you’ll first need an active CCR system account (instructions to create one). New faculty users should follow these instructions to setup a project in CCR's allocations management portal, ColdFront. The group leader of the project you're on in ColdFront must request an allocation to the Globus resource (instructions can be found here).
Once you've done the above account and project setup, you must obtain your CILogon Certificate Subject by logging onto https://cilogon.org/ and provide it to CCR.
You will be required to choose your identity provider. In the search bar, type in "Buffalo" and you should see “The State University of New York at Buffalo” pop up.
Once you click on it, you will be redirected to sign in with your UB credentials
Once you have signed in, you will be provided with a Certificate Subject which will be in the format "/DC=org/DC=cilogon/C=US/O=The State University of New York at Buffalo/CN=Lastname, Firstname AXXXXXX"
Copy this full Certificate Subject line and send in a help ticket to CCR Help requesting your Certificate Signature to be added to a grid map file. This will give you access to your files at CCR when you log into Globus. (NOTE: we have blacked out the unique ID at the end of the subject line for this screenshot but you should send your full certificate subject line to CCR help)
Once you've been notified by CCR help that your access is enabled, you can follow these instructions to connect to the endpoint.
